St. Patrick's Cathedral for the Last Sunday in Newark

A big plus to my son's time at St. Benedict's Prep this summer was his proximity to New York City. A 20 minute train ride got him there!  What a deal!  So, although mass with the monks at Newark Abbey was a special treat for him, he really wanted to work in a mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral too. Like the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, he found St. Patrick's to be an amazing church.

There were LOTS of tourists, but a proper mass was still held.

Noah took a picture of this stained-glass window and only later realized that it had been donated to St. Patrick's by the Diocese of Rochester, NY ... the diocese where I grew up and where Noah has made many summer visits!

After mass, Noah went to the top of the Rockefeller Center and walked around to see if he could spot St. Patrick's ... and this is what he saw!
