A Project Completed ... Phew!!!!

It has been a hope of mine for a long time now to put together a book that explains all of the artwork within the church that we would eventually settle in (after years of traveling around with the USMC).  In 2000, we landed in a precious church, full of inspiring statues and colorful windows.  Then, several wall murals were added.  Finally, the time seemed right and I got to work on this project.  Below are a few samples of my "book" (a binder, really) that I recently completed ...

St. Stanislaus Church - Bandera, TX

Statues of Saints

Stained Glass Windows

Wall Murals Depicting the Life of St. Stanislaus of Krakow

Murals Symbolizing the Four Gospel Writers

Murals for the Seven Sacraments

Stations of the Cross

A Few Pages on our Church's History
(By the way, my little church is the 2nd oldest Polish Catholic Church in the U.S.!)

An Overall View of the Inside of the Church

  1. What a beautiful church! Great work on the "book". Are you aware of the Polish Community at Our Lady of Sorrows church in San Antonio? There has been a wonderful presence of Polish priests in that community which includes a mass said in Polish on Sunday at 1 p.m. That parish is celebrating it's 100th anniv. next month on Sept. 15th, the feast of Our Lady Sorrows. The current pastor, Fr. Thaddeus is very spiritual and speaks beautiful Spanish as well, which I enjoy very much.

    1. Thank you for letting me know! I will have to try to visit Our Lady of Sorrows!!! :)
