Hebrews 11 - A Reminder To Trust In God

The Journey And Life Of Abraham
We sometimes forget.  Life isn't always easy, and sometimes we get nudges or demands to step out of our comfort zones.  Sometimes we feel strongly pulled to take a serious leap of faith.  The 11th chapter of Hebrews reminds us of some Old Testament folks who were called by God to do difficult or confusing things ... all for a good purpose (for example: At the age of 75, Abram/Abraham was called to leave the land of his kinsfolk and migrate to a foreign land - a land that would become the home of the Israelite nation.).

A Novena to Holy Ones of the Old Testament
If you are going through one of those times - wondering why life is presenting challenge after challenge, perhaps the biblical figures discussed in Hebrews 11 can offer some inspiration to persevere.  Try spending a handful of days with this chapter (and a bit of Hebrews 12).  After pondering each Bible passage listed below, ask one or two of the Old Testament holy ones to pray for your discernment and courage ...

Day 1 ~ Hebrews 11:1-5
Day 2 ~ Hebrews 11:6-7
Day 3 ~ Hebrews 11:8-12
Day 4 ~ Hebrews 11:13-16
Day 5 ~ Hebrews 11:17-22
Day 6 ~ Hebrews 11:23-31
Day 7 ~ Hebrews 11:32-38
Day 8 ~ Hebrews 11:39-40
Day 9 ~ Hebrews 12:1-2
